Save Me From Drowning In An Exhaustive Reading List
I’m new to Medium. At least I thought I was. A couple of years ago, I either unintentionally responded or highlighted something in an article that warranted a few claps. I’ve remained dormant ever since. This time around, I’ve made a concerted effort to be an active consumer and contributor on this growing platform.
According to an article on cheddar.com from May 2019, a company spokesperson for Medium stated they were “approaching 100 million monthly readers.” I’ll try not to let that intimidate me. Or discourage me since my first few articles have been read by a percentage of users so small that to call it insignificant would be an overreach.
But I’ll get over it and continue to engage. I’ve jumped headfirst into the deep end. My wife claims it’s a little obsessive and downright habitual. I’m a bit panicky because I can’t keep up with everything pushed out towards me. That’s my fault. I’ve checked too many interest boxes and have tapped ‘follow’ more times than I should.
I’ve always been a lifelong learner. Anything that comes through my feed offering advice to make me a better writer, a more voracious reader, or a high-function human — I’m all in. There are a lot of you out…
